WEEK 1   GET YOUR FOOT IN THE DOOR: PROFESSIONALISM AND BUSINESS ETIQUETTE/RESUME AND COVER LETTER PREPARATION

Master the art of presenting your professionalism, from your attitude and demeanor to the way you dress and your cell phone etiquette. Your professional presence builds trust with those around you and empowers you to operate in any business environment with confidence and competence. In addition, you leave this session with an electronic and hard copy resume that gets results and cover letter that can be adapted to any job advertisement. The following week, your resume and cover letter will be critiqued by local business owners.

WEEK 2  MAKE IT OR BREAK IT: INTERVIEW TECHNIQUES AND YOUR CHANCE TO SHINE

You learn how to prepare for an interview, how to answer questions, and how to sell yourself to the interviewer. You will be interviewed by a local business owner and will receive a video of your interview for practice and preparation purposes.

WEEK 3  WHO ARE YOU AND WHY SHOULD THEY CARE? BUILD YOUR BRAND IDENTITY AND PITCH YOURSELF WITH AN EFFECTIVE 30-SECOND INTRODUCTION

Public speaking is the number one fear people have. Whether interacting with a team or pitching an idea to your boss, you need to present articulately and professionally, showcasing your self and your concept in the most effective way. This session will help you build confidence and make strong and positive impressions. Learn the six step formula for crafting your introduction, as well as tips and tricks for overcoming fear and nervousness.

WEEK 4  SEAL THE DEAL: NETWORKING AND FOLLOW UP

Master the art of genuine relationship building and strategic networking to climb the ladder to personal and professional success. Successfully forging trusting and reciprocal relationships with others is one main factor distinguishing highly successful people from everyone else who won’t, don’t or can’t. Learn your networking style and how to use it to your advantage when job hunting. Learn how social media fits into the networking web. In this session, you practice using your networking tools to make connections, get your message across confidently, and close the sale. You will receive materials to help with follow up after meetings, appointments, and networking events.
